Emma Stone joined members of the cast and creative team behind “Eddington” for the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday. The two-time Oscar-winning actress stars in the film alongside Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Austin Butler.
For the red carpet premiere, Stone opted for retro-inspired flair with theatrical inspiration courtesy of Louis Vuitton‘s cruise 2026 collection. The off-the-shoulder dress featured a shimmering aubergine tone, with dramatic, black flame-like patterning extending from the waist of the dress to the loose bodice and long sleeves.

The black fabric continued to contrast with the shimmering effect on the aubergine skirt, with two black panels on the front of the skirt. While the look included a flowing, loose bodice, the skirt flowed with a column silhouette with added movement and pleating near the hem. A ’60s-inspired belt with silver metallic circles was added at the waist for added definition.

As for her glam, Stone showed off her pixie cut, styled by Mara Roszak. Her makeup included such details as bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip courtesy of artist Nina Park. Stone’s look was curated by stylist Petra Flannery, who also collaborates with Zoe Saldaña and Renée Zellweger, among others.

Stone joined Louis Vuitton as a brand ambassador in 2017, appearing in campaigns and styling pieces on the red carpet for the French luxury fashion house over the course of the last several years. Stone’s “Eddington” premiere dress made its runway debut last May, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections.
“His latest cruise collection for Louis Vuitton is a hit — lavishly embellished, spunky in spirit and theatrical to the right degree,” Miles Socha wrote in WWD’s review of the collection. “While flamboyant, it deftly skirted the ‘costume-y’ admonishment that sometimes befalls designers.”

Stone joined a bevy of celebrities in the front row for the fashion show, which coincided with Cannes Film Festival. Cate Blanchett, Saoirse Ronan, Alicia Vikander and more stars attended the cruise collection runway show at the Palais des Papes.
Directed by Ari Aster, “Eddington” follows the events of a mayoral election and mounting tensions between neighbors in Eddington, New Mexico, during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The film hits theaters July 18.
