Christian Louboutin has quickly responded to an overwhelming affection for their Cassia Lace Up pump by delivering a new Nudes capsule collection starring the ballerina-inspired shoe.
Celebrities like Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo and Zoe Saldaña, as well as thousands of people on TikTok, have shown their appreciation for the shoe, with Cardi B naming them as the only “It” shoes of the year. Now, Louboutin is bringing its Nudes collection back to the stage with the Cassia Lace Up to continue its inclusive celebration of different skin tones now on the ballet shoe.

The Louboutin Nudes collection was inspired by the idea of creating a flesh-toned shoe that features a continuous line from leg to toe, elegantly elongating the silhouette. In turn, Louboutin realized that one shade of “nude” does not encompass the skin tones of all the millions of people who love his shoes, which led to the launch of the first Nudes collection in 2013. Initially available in five shades, it expanded to eight.

“The weight of words is important — nude is not a beige color, but a concept, and it should be plural to reflect the full spectrum of skin tones,” the luxury footwear designer said.
This year, the footwear designer is introducing the new Nudes capsule collection, featuring five of the eight shades in a limited-edition release of the Cassia Lace Up. The Cassia design is a 100mm strappy, single-sole pump that features a structured square toe, similar to those used in ballet pointe slippers. The curved lines of a stiletto heel and the brand’s signature red sole add a splash of color.
The shoe is crafted from soft crepe satin, a fabric reminiscent of traditional ballet shoes, and is tied with tonal satin ribbons around the ankle. It also features a delicate tone-on-tone bow on the upper that enhances the shoe’s delicate lines.
The Cassia Lace Up Nudes collection is now available in Christian Louboutin boutiques and exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue — both online at saks.com and at the Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship. This limited-edition collection features five nude shades in crepe satin, and is also available in black, red and the Alta style, which features a platform and a six-inch heel.
